Bright colors, vintage cars, lusciously dressed sets, and choreographed dancing characterize this artists aesthetic world, dubbed the "Lanza-verse." MPL is the Artistic Director and Co-Producer for the music video, featuring a queer cast and an undercurrent of sapphic vibes.

Morgan Paris Lanza teams up with Walking Distance Media to visually tell the story of Morgan's debut single, "My Vanity." Starring Morgan Paris Lanza alongside Joel Domenico as The Sexy Man(nequin) and Louisa Moody as The Ex/The Other Woman. Choreographed by Shadae Simone with dance performances by Shadae and Annya Pin.

ABOUT

Morgan Paris Lanza (she/they) is an alt-rnb/jazz vocalist, songwriter, and producer. MPL's music is inspired by Jazz, Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, and Neo-Soul. MPL creates songs that share her life stories and have been described as ethereal, dreamy, and "nostalgic for the future."

Morgan has a background in theater and began her actor training at age 6. She has been performing since 11-years-old, captivating audiences with her stage presence. Morgan studied acting for three years at Western Washington University, then switched to the music department to pursue voice. Morgan graduated with minors in Music; Audio Technology, Music, and Society; and French. She earned her Interdisciplinary BA in Music & Society: The Social Context of the Performing Arts and Entrepreneurship.

 

Morgan studied voice privately for six years with award-winning Jazz, Blues, and Soul artist, Cheryl Hodge. She has studied with vocal coaches from around the world, including Seattle Jazz legend, Greta Matassa. Morgan is now a vocal coach and professional musician.

 

Morgan is one of the founding organizers, former Executive Director, and current Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Bellingham Girls Rock Camp, a non-profit music and empowerment program for girls and queer youth.

Morgan has graced numerous stages including performances at Freakout Fest, Folklife Festival, BAMF!, Sh'Bang, and the Parke Ave Sneaky Link Series.

Morgan Paris Lanza believes we are all stars who shine brighter when we shine together. "A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle."
