MORGAN PARIS LANZA

"DON'T COME BACK" SINGLE & MUSIC VIDEO

PRESS RELEASE

"Don't Come Back" is the next single and music video by Morgan Paris Lanza (MPL), a queer artist from Seattle, WA. Bright colors, vintage cars, lusciously dressed sets, and choreographed dancing characterize this artists aesthetic world, dubbed the "Lanza-verse." MPL is the Artistic Director and Co-Producer for the music video, featuring a queer cast and an undercurrent of sapphic vibes. Morgan Paris Lanza is an alt-rnb/jazz-pop vocalist, songwriter, and producer. MPL's music is inspired by Jazz, Pop, R&B, Alternative, Hip Hop, and Neo-Soul. MPL creates songs that share her life stories.

This is MPL's second production in collaboration with Walking Distance Media, and follow-up from her debut, "My Vanity." Director and Editor, Conor O'Keefe of Walking Distance, worked with MPL to develop the concept and script for both music videos. This time around, MPL wanted to showcase more of her masculine energy. "If 'My Vanity' is mommy then 'Don't Come Back' is daddy," says Morgan. As a gender fluid artist and pansexual, it's important for Morgan to express all aspects of their intersecting identities. That multiplicity extends to MPL's artistic lens and genre exploration.

The music video features a choreographed dance sequence by Shadae Simone, featuring MPL with local artists TAQUEET$!, SimonePin, and Caela Bailey. Joel Domenico, or Glory Joel as he's known in the drag scene, plays the male lead aka The Cool Guy. Louisa Moody, otherwise known by her burlesque name, Lucia Démone, returns as supporting actress in the role of The Girlfriend, a relationship foreshadowed in "My Vanity." MPL was able to dig into her background in acting for this role.

Morgan Paris Lanza will be performing live at PrideFest this year on the main stage at Seattle Center, Sunday, June 30th at 6:30 pm. Morgan's set will include live choreographed dance set to MPL's original music. "Don't Come Back" will be premiered exclusively through an online media platform, before release on YouTube.

Enter the Lanza-verse. An experience not to be missed.
